Second generation YD (2014-2019) / Kia Forte TD 2014-2019 Owners Manual / Maintenance / Maintenance service / Normal maintenance schedule

The following maintenance services must be performed to ensure good emission control and performance.

Keep receipts for all vehicle emission services to protect your warranty. Where both mileage and time are shown, the frequency of service is determined by whichever occurs first.

*1 : Fuel filter & Fuel tank air filter are considered to be maintenance free but periodic inspection is recommended for this maintenance schedule depends on fuel quality. If there are some important safety matters like fuel flow restriction, surging, loss of power, hard starting problem etc, replace the fuel filter immediately regardless of maintenance schedule and consult an authorized Kia dealer for details.

*2 : If TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline is not available, one bottle of additive is recommended. Additives are available from your authorized Kia dealer along with information on how to use them. Do not mix other additives.

*3 : The drive belt should be replaced when cracks occur or tension is reduced excessively.

You can't repair the evaporator which means it needs replacing. Those are EVAP system codes which should not be related to the air filter. First of all check the gas cap.

While sharing some design elements and both being multivalve Honda four-cylinders, the B-series and B20A differ substantially in architecture, enough to be considered distinct engine families. They were made in 1.6 L (1,595 cc), 1.7 L (1,678 cc), 1.8 L (1,797 cc), and 2.0 litres (1,973 cc) variants, with and without VTEC. Later models have minor upgrades including modifications to the intake valves and ports and piston tops, along with individual cylinder oil injectors (B18C models).

Js08016 thank you, ive replaced both the canister vent valve and purge solenoid, and have been checking for leaks by spraying lubricant, no hit yet. Could it possibly be O2 sensor?
